Every year, Yahoo! helps keep the dream alive by celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. In 2008, Yahoo! honored the contributions of this inspirational leader in some creative ways.

Yahoo! Avatars let you dress your avatar up in a “Keep the Dream Alive” shirt available in the Issues and Causes section.

Yahoo! Video featured the winner from a contest of high school students who created videos about MLK Jr.

Our African American Stakeholder Group (AASG) volunteered on the Freedom Train that goes from San Jose to San Francisco on the morning of January 21st in honor of MLK Jr.

As part of our monthly Purple Acts of Kindness program, we partnered with local businesses to surprise and delight Freedom Train passengers with baked goods and African-inspired goodies.
